Grace House

FAQs

What is cosmetic dentistry?

Many people turn to cosmetic dentistry, or aesthetic dentistry, as a way of improving their appearance. The treatments we offer at Grace House can be used to lighten, reshape and repair teeth; and include veneers, crowns, bridges, tooth coloured fillings, implants and whitening.

What is a veneer?

Veneers are thin slices of porcelain that are used to improve the appearance of a tooth. These are precisely made to fit over the visible surface of the teeth, in much the same way that a false fingernail fits over a nail.

Why might I have a veneer?

Veneers are an ideal way of treating discoloured or unsightly teeth, closing gaps between front teeth, or repairing chips and cracks.

What will my veneers look like?

We can set up a computer simulation of how your new smile will look, or our laboratory can construct a model of your new smile.

Who looks after the teeth when treatment is finished?

Once treatment has been given by Grace House you will go back to your own dentist for checkups. Of course if you have any problems with any of the treatment provided by us then you can contact us directly and we will see you. Often in cases of gum disease treatment review appointments are necessary.

Can I get a second opinion?

Yes we are happy to provide a second opinion, in confidence if required.

What do you charge?

As the very nature of the work we do tends to be unique to that patient it is difficult to give exact costs. However we list some basic fees (see our basic pricelist) and all patients are given a written costing before treatment begins.

When do I pay for my treatment, before or after?

Treatment is paid as and when it is provided, so the treatment costs are spread out over the appointments.
